Rocket to the Moon

Wonderful Wednesday! Today we read the book Mooncake by Frank Asch. The story is about a bear that was curious about what the moon tastes likes so he builds a rocket to take him to the moon. During our math and cognition activity, we sorted big and little “Moon” rocks. We each got to feel the different textures that the rocks had as we sorted them by size. For our sensory and science activity, we counted down to blast a balloon powered rocket. Our balloon rocket was tied to a string and we all pretended that we were astronauts. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we used bingo daubers to make polka dots on the letter P.
