From Little Acorns, Mighty Oak Trees Grow
This morning, we read the book Litte Acorn written by Melanie Joyce and illustrated by Gina Maldonado. During our music and movement time, we shook and wiggled all of our sillies out. Next, during our math and cognition lesson, we sorted squirrels and acorns by shape. Then, for our science and sensory lesson, we looked at goose necked gourds and talked about other types of gourds and pumpkins. Then, we traced our arms and hands and made them into a tree! Finally, during our fine motor and literacy lesson, we practiced tracing and writing our names.
