Happy Fourth of July!
We would to wish everyone a happy and very safe 4th of July! Today we read the book The Night Before The Fourth of July written by Amy Wummer. This morning, during music and movement time, we had a Friday dance party on a Wednesday. During our math and cognition lesson, we worked on shape recognition. For our science and sensory lesson, we made fireworks in a jar. We did this by adding water and baby oil to a mason jar and dropped food coloring into the liquid. We watched as the food coloring slowly fell through the oil and then spread out like a firework when the food coloring got to the water layer. Finally, during our fine motor and literacy lesson, we made the American flag!
