Dairy Foods

Today we had a special guest come in from the health department to talk to us about healthy foods that we can make. She read a book that had an iguana that taught us how to use our senses as we try new foods. Then she made us a healthy snack for us to finish building and then we got a chance to try the yummy snack. During our literacy and fine motor activity, we practiced writing the letter ‘D’ on some dry erase boards. We wrote the lowercase and uppercase of this letter. Then we used our sensory and science skills to make a messy science experiment. We made Oobleck using cornstarch and water and we each got a chance to put the ingredients in and mix it around in our bowl. For our math and cognition activity, we did a kitchen utensil matching game. We each got a few utensils and had to match them to the correct spot.
