Counting Pumpkins

Happy Monday! This week we are learning about pumpkins! Today we read the book Pumpkin Countdown by Joan Holub. We went along with a classroom of children as they went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch, where they count everything in sight. During our math and cognition activity, we did a pumpkin number match game. Then during our science and sensory activity, we painted the bottom of a pot orange, we then drew pumpkin faces in the paint. Then we put our paper onto the paint and pulled it off to reveal pumpkin faces. Lastly, during our fine motor and literacy activity we practiced writing our names.
