Around the World in a Day

Happy Tuesday I hope everyone had a great three-day weekend. This week we will be reading different books from different cultures. The book we read today was Anansi, The Spider. In this story, we follow a father spider and his six sons on a quest first to save him after he falls into trouble. Then as they go home, he finds a shiny ball. He then asks a friend to see which of his sons deserves it, but the sons end up fighting, so the friend puts it in the sky so all can see it to this day.

Today for math and cognition, we counted different currencies worldwide to see how many there were. Then for sensory and science, we painted plates to make masks. Then for literacy and motor, we listened to how a tiger got his stripes in folklore from Vietnam.
