Today we read Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond. In this book, Mouse gets a surprise visit from all of his friends after he sends them Valentine cards. During our sensory and science activity, we took a look in our heart sensory bin. We found flower petals and red fake grass that our teachers put in there for us to play with. Then we used our math and cognition skills to match letters that were in hearts. We used our literacy skills to take the uppercase letter and find the the correct lowercase letter. In order to connect the two letters together we used a crayon and our fine motor skills to do this.
