Tropical

Today we read Beetle Bop by Denise Fleming. In this book, we learned how beetles like to crawl and hid throughout the rainforest. For our math and cognition activity, we counted rainforest animals. We took our toy animals and placed them into a line before counting how many we had in total as well as how many big and little ones there were. Then we listened to a book on tape about a tropical rainforest and we heard all of the different animals in a rainforest using our literacy and fine motor skills. During our sensory and science activity, we painted a paper plate green so that once it dries it can be turned into a snake. Our green snakes are going to have a long tail to be able to hang from the trees.
