Today we read the book The Teeny Weeny Tadpole by Sheridan Cain. In this book a teeny tadpole wants to jump on the lily pads like his mom. He meets several friends who encourage him to keep trying to jump like his mom. One day he got so scared that a big fish was going to eat him he jumped right out of the water like his mom. First, during our math and cognition activity, we used colored ducks to make a pattern. Then, during our science and sensory activity, we made ponds with play dough. Finally, during our fine motor and literacy activity, we practiced our cutting skills.
