Today we read the book Smiley Shark by Ruth Galloway. In this book Smiley Shark was a happy shark who loved to smile, but his teeth scared away the other sea creatures. At the end of the book a net captured all the sea creatures and Smiley Sharks teeth saved the day. First, during our math and cognition activity, we glued down puzzle pieces to create a shark. Then, during our science and sensory activity, we played with an ocean sensory bin with water and all different types of sea animals. Finally, during our fine motor and literacy activity, we practiced tracing our ABC’s.
