Today we read The Little Penguin by A.J. Wood and illustrated by Stephanie Boey. In this book, we watched as a little penguin waddled it’s way across the ice to find his friends. During our sensory and science activity, we used playdough to talk about the arctic. We talked about how the ice may feel and what animals we could see if we were in the arctic. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to practice cutting. We cut from one side of the paper to the other side where there was different polar animals. For our math and cognition activity, we made different colored patterns. We used snapping cubes to stack up each of our patterns.
