Today we read the book Bear Stays Up for Christmas by Karma Wilson. In this book we talked about how Bear’s friends wanted him to stay awake for Christmas! So they wake Bear up and have him help them find a Christmas tree, bake cakes, hang up stockings, and sing Christmas songs. During our math and cognition activity we counted how many penguins were on our counting cards. Then we used our science and sensory skills and painted a polar bear. Finally we used our fine motor and literacy skills to listen to a book on tape. We talked about where polar bears live and how big their paws are.
