Matching Pumpkins

Today we read the book Too Many Pumpkins by Linda White. This book is about a woman who hates pumpkins because she grew up eating them so much. To her luck she ended up growing hundreds of pumpkins and had to do something with them. She prepares a pumpkin feast and shares it with her town. This book taught us how it feels good to do things for others. For our math and cognition activity we matched pumpkins together based on what their faces looked like. For our science and sensory activity we experimented with exploding pumpkins by adding baking soda into a a bag of vinegar. Lastly, for our fine motor and literacy time we did letter creation.
