Dancing Hearts

We read a book called Love, Splat by Rob Scotton today. In this book, Splat wants to give Kitten a Valentine’s card but she doesn’t want it until she realized that it was decorated so nicely for her. For one of our activities today, we used our fine motor and literacy skills to first write our names on the back of a heart. Then we turned it over again and used our stamp pads to decorate our hearts. During our math and cognition activity, we did a broken heart matching where we had to count up the little hearts on one half of a broken heart and find the correct number on the other half to fix the broken hearts. Our teachers made our sensory and science activity a fun one by making a science experiment that had dancing candy hearts in some bubbly water.
