Colorful Leaves

Today we read Leaves by David Stein. We got to learn why the leaves fall in Autumn and how they change colors. During our sensory and science activity, we played in our sensory bin. Our sensory bin had different leaves and acorns in it. Then we used our literacy and fine motor skills to trace different sized leaves. After we traced them we colored them each in with the different fall colors that we see. For our math and cognition activity, we recognized different shapes on acorns. Once we recognized the shape we matched it to the correct squirrel that also had a shape.
