Today we read the book The Berenstain Bears God Bless Our Country by Mike Berenstain. The Bear family and their Bear Country neighbors celebrate the Fourth of July with a big parade. But not before the cubs get a lesson about the blessings of freedom for their country. During our math and cognition activity, we worked with Fireworks matching. Next, during our science and sensory activity, we froze ice cubes with baking soda. We poured vinegar over the ice stars and watched as the stars fizzed up! Finally, during our fine motor and literacy activity, we water painted letter “B’s” with red, white and blue, like bomb pops.
